Welcome to the world!

You're so amazing! I love you tons! I'm sitting here holding you and thought I better get your birth story down while it's still fresh in my mind.

I started having mild contractions around 3 pm on October 2nd. And they started getting stronger around 8pm. We finally decided to go to the hospital at midnight. So your grandpa and Yaya came over to get Taiyden (they had been in Idaho earlier that day and had decided to come home early, luckily!). And we left for the hospital. When we got there I was dilated to a 3 and completely effaced. So they got us admitted and got me started on my epidural at 2. After that I was able to get a little bit of sleep. Dr. Spencer came at 5am and broke my water and told me I was dilated to 5. He then informed the nurse to let him know when I was 20 minutes out and he'd come back. Luckily he went to the front and did some chart notes instead of heading home because once my water was broken I dilated from a 5 to a 10 in about 20 minutes and you were super anxious to come meet us!

So dr spencer came back in and everyone was in quiet the scramble to get everything ready. I was really trying to not push you out before they were ready. We started pushing at 5:57am and you came out to meet us at 6:03. (They put 6:04 as your birth time but I looked at the clock when you were finally here and it was 6:03;)) your daddy cut your cord and I made them hand you to me. I couldn't wait to hold you! You calmed down really quick once you were in my arms. I had very little tearing and only needed one or two stitches, see I'm already forgetting;)

You were 7lbs 8oz and 20 inches long. Grandma was just outside when you were born and grandpa and Yaya and Taiyden came to see you a little later that morning. And Jamie and Ryan came that night to see you.

You've just been so happy and content! You don't like being cold at all and hate having your clothes changed. But your a pretty good eater when I can get you to wake up, and you love to snuggle and sleep on your side. You have tons of beautiful hair and I love it so much! It was the first thing the nurse said to me when she could see your head, 'she has so much hair!' And she was really excited because she used to do hair and she loves doing the little girls hair when they're born with it. (She had 2 boys and said it was a fun part if her job.) she made you the cutest little bow and dolled you all up!

You don't cry much but you have the cutest little cry ever! You sleep with your hands by your face. And I'm just crazy in love with you! We're so happy you joined our family!
